A Jan '12 renter who took up photography as a retirement hobby sent us an album documenting his trip.  We liked the album so much, we asked if we could post it here as "sample Kauai vacation" from a renter at Kiahuna #74!
Vivian could always be found playing with the kids on the beach.
While David and Javier would paddle out to find the best waves to surf.
And Suzanne was the ever vigilant Mom looking out for her boys near the water.

Mostly.
And this is the wave that broke the surfboard.
We never got tired of the sunsets,
or gazing at marvellous vistas.
Sometimes we got close to the edge,
and we walked in a swamp.
There was so much to choose from.
Walking down into Waimea Canyon
was a real treat.
Its amazing.
And of course we ate shave ice!
Some went whale watching
and we all liked the spouting horn.
We buried Cameron in the sand
and drove up to the north shore
where we went to some wonderful gardens.
Wonderful plants
and stunning flowers.
The grounds at Kiahuna are so well designed and maintained.
We never got tired of going for early morning walks along the coast.
Judy found this crevasse particularly interesting,
and I just kept saying, "Wow…"
Cameron, Hayley, and Ethan never tired of running on the beach
and playing in the waves
and everyday seemed all too short.
Sunrise.
Jennifer and her dad went for an open-doors helicopter ride.
Jurassic park and the
Na Pali Coast did not dissapoint.
Spectacular.
Simply spectacular.
Whether we were hiking
or building sand castles we all had a great time.
You were not exaggeratting,
Kauai is truly a beautiful island.
